Holy Week Events

Palm Sunday - April 13
10:00a Worship
Morning worship will commemorate the festive entry of Jesus into Jerusalem as He began the last week of His earthly life. The service will conclude with the dramatic stipping of the altar in anticipation of the the events of Good Friday to come.
Good Friday April 18 -
12:00 - 6:00pm Prayer Retreat
Starting at noon, we will offer opportunities for a self-guided retreat. Resources will be available at stations for meditation and prayer on a drop-in basis. Participants are encouraged to fast on this holy day.
7pm Worship
At 7 pm, a “Service of Darkness” will be held with choral meditations on the last words of Christ. .This remembrance will feature our historic Skinner organ as we reflect on Jesus' journey to the cross.
Easter Sunday April 20-
Sunrise Service 7a in the Memorial Garden adjacent to the church building next to the playground. If inclement weather, we will meet in the chapel. Enter through Oak Park Ave door in the Memorial Tower. This worship experience will not be streamed online.
Potluck Breakfast Buffet is between our two worship services, 8am-9:30am. Stay after the Sunrise worship service or come early for the Celebration of Resurrection. Bring your favorite breakfast item already prepared to share. Plan your visit and let us know you're coming. Also, if and what you'll be bringing to add to the menu.
Celebration of Resurrection 10a in Sanctuary and online. Our Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, and Praise Team will all be participating in this grand celebration of Jesus' victory over death! Join us! We'll be saving a seat just for you.

11am-1pm - refreshments, crafts, and the story of Easter with the Easter Egg Hunt will following on the playground.

10 am - Worship Service.
Friday, March 29 – Good Friday
7 pm - Worship Service featuring "A Service of Darkness: Seven Choral Meditations on the Last Words of Christ, Adapted From the Ancient Tenebrae for Mixed Voices" by Dale Wood. This will be a musical remembrance, accompanied by our historic Skinner organ, of the seven last words or phrases Jesus uttered from the cross. This event is open to the public and a free-will offering will be received.
